After working in healthcare for nearly three decades and being a long-time advocate of holistic living, I recognize that spiritual support is an often overlooked but very important part of caring for our health.  Although chapels and chaplains are available when you or a loved one is admitted to the hospital, spiritual care is most often not requested until someone is seriously ill or facing end of life decisions. But why not take advantage of this kind of support to enhance your life every day?  Science tells us that people who regularly use contemplative practices like prayer, meditation, mindfulness, and journaling often feel better about their overall health and sometimes have better outcomes.  So, I wanted to create a space where people could learn these self-care tools to renew and restore balance in their lives.

I have the following certifications and trainings: Veriditas labyrinth facilitator, meditation instructor, life coach, Grief Recovery Specialist®, and holistic wellness coach.  I have completed Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)--training program from the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society.  I am a member of The Labyrinth Society (TLS), an international organization who serves the global labyrinth community through education and networking.

I am passionate about conducting workshops and retreats that focus on personal transformation by using meditation, mindfulness, and labyrinths.  I have hosted labyrinth walks and workshops throughout Houston and other areas. A few past events are:

“The Labyrinth: A Meditation Tool” at Montgomery County South Regional Library, The Woodlands, TX

“The Labyrinth: A Tool for Self Care” at University of St. Thomas, Houston, TX

“The Labyrinth: A Tool of Health and Healing” at Cizik School of Nursing at University of Texas, Houston, TX

“Finding Your Center: Tools for Self Discovery” at The Mountain Retreat and Learning Center, Highlands, NC
